"My Printer shows offline

from my Computer!"

Try saving your work and rebooting the computer and the copier.

Didn't work? Windows users who are feeling ambitious can check to make sure their computer is using the IP address instead of the WSD port. You can find this in Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners. Select your printer and choose Manage > Printer Properties.

"The copier is not sending my scans to email!"

Make sure the Copier is still connected to the internet. It may come back after rebooting.

If this does not fix it, consider these questions with your IT service. The answers to these questions may help us resolve the issue more quickly when we come to help.

 

  • Have you recently changed the password for the email address the copier uses to send email?

  • Are you having network Interruptions?

  • Is your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, Centurylink etc.) working on your network?

  • Has anyone been making changes to your network such as adding or removing routers, servers or WIFI hotspots?

  • Have you recently migrated your email service to Google or Office 365?

  • Is the copier displaying an error code when it fails?

"The copier is not sending my scans to my computer or server!"

Make sure the Copier is still connected to the network. It may come back after rebooting.

If this does not fix it, consider these questions with your IT service. The answers to these questions may help us resolve the issue more quickly when we come to help.

 

  • Have you recently changed the password for the user account that accesses the folder?

  • Are you having network Interruptions?

  • Is your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, Centurylink etc.) working on your network?

  • Has anyone been making changes to your network such as adding or removing routers, servers or WIFI hotspots?

  • Is the copier displaying an error code when it fails?

"The copier says it had some kind of failure and it won't do anything!"

It might be bad, but we have probably seen it before.

First check the display, write down any codes or messages.

You can try just rebooting the machine, this really does work sometimes!

If not, call us right away and tell us what the copier displayed. Codes and error messages can help our technicians solve your problem faster by bringing the right parts and tools.
